Enoshima-Kamakura Freepass is the perfect choice for enjoying this course!

Enoshima and Kamakura are home to many popular sightseeing spots. This day trip plan introduces all the must-visit highlights in the area.

01.Enoden (Enoshima Electric Railway)

Your journey begins with the retro-style Enoden train, taking you to Hase Station. The charming ride allows you to leisurely enjoy beautiful views along the way. Watching the old townscapes and the ocean coastline from the train is part of its appeal, and it sets the tone for an exciting trip ahead.

02.Kōtoku-in

The famous bronze statue at Kōtoku-in is known as the "Great Buddha of Kamakura," established in 1252. Including its pedestal, it stands an impressive 13.35 meters tall. The Great Buddha of Kamakura is the only Buddha statue designated as a national treasure in Japan, so be sure not to miss it!

03.Hase-dera Temple

Hase-dera is renowned as one of Japan’s four great temples for viewing beautiful hydrangeas. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom, followed by hydrangeas in early summer, and in autumn the temple grounds are colored with vibrant red and yellow foliage. Seasonal flowers ensure that there is always something to enjoy throughout the year. Visitors can also admire the charming stone statues scattered throughout the temple grounds. From the observation deck, you can enjoy sweeping views of Kamakura’s townscape and the ocean, making Hase-dera a must-see destination.

04.Enoshima Shrine & Benzaiten Nakamise Street

Enoshima Shrine is one of Japan’s three great shrines dedicated to Benzaiten, the goddess of wealth, love, and success. It is said to bring blessings for romance, prosperity, and good fortune in work, so be sure to pay a visit—you might find your luck improving!

After visiting the shrine, stroll down the historic Benzaiten Nakamise Street. The lively shopping street is lined with local food stalls and souvenir shops, offering plenty of delicious treats you’ll want to try and photogenic spots to capture.

05.Enoshima Sea Candle at Sunset Time

Enoshima Sea Candle, a symbol of Shonan, is a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful views of Enoshima at sunset. On clear days, you might even see Mount Fuji! Enoshima Sea Candle also hosts events throughout the seasons featuring beautiful lanterns and candles.
Throughout the year, seasonal events are held here, including beautiful lantern and candlelight displays, making it a must-visit romantic spot.

Other tickets

This depends on the ticket. There are three types of tickets as described below.

The Hakone Freepass departing from Shinjuku includes a round-trip ticket for use between Shinjuku and Odawara. Other Discount Passes departing from an Odakyu station include round-trip passage from the departing station to Odawara Station.
